As I had been down to the RAFM Hendon the day before and the sun was shining, it was a quick Sunday visit to Duxford. The museum was now on summer opening times and the Land Warfare Hall and Hangar 3 open to the public again. The only real change around has been the installation in the Cold War aircraft collection in Hangar 4/North of the recently restored Vampire T11 and in the Vampire's place in the workshop area of Hangar 5/North of the recently delivered Harrier GR9A from RAF Cottesmore. Following the rebuilding and conservation of the GR9A, it will go on display in the IWM London in a couple of years time following the multi-million refurbishment of the former Bedlam Hospital. Routine maintenance and CAA paperwork continues apace on the various warbird collections in antiicipation of the start of the air show season.
