3rd December 2016

The peace and tranquility of a quiet Saturday Bimble around Duxford was shattered when a Sikorsky HH-60G Pave Hawk/(89)26205 from RAF Lakenheath started doing circuits just after the museum opened with about 4 landings on the grass runway. It parked up on the jet pan and with the pilot on board and rotors running, the crew went off to the cafe for a coffee. Friendly crew as well, waving to the kids on the fence line when they arrived and handing out badges to them when they left. Just before lunch Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub/D-ESTS and Piper L-18C-95 Super Cub/OO-SPG flew in from the continent via Calais and stayed til mid afternoon. In the order they were taken.

Duxford Bimble's - December 2016

8th December 2016

Very, very quiet day at Duxford so some record shots in hangar 3 with Frankie back from winter servicing and the ARCo fleet having had a bit shuffle around around since my last visit. In the order they were taken.

22nd December 2016

Last visit of the year, possibly, and was greeted with a spot of aerobatics as the Duxford based Cosmic Wind cleared the cobwebs away as it was thrown around above the airfield in the wall to wall blue sky and sunshine. Very quiet otherwise with the Monarch Britannia more or less ready, having had its paintwork rubbed down, for its move into AirSpace Conservation Hall for a repaint at the start of next year. Photos in the order they were taken.
