Faux High Dynamic Range (HDR)

With the gallery below, I've used one of the many options available to process them under what is known as Faux/Fake or Pseudo HDR. To achieve a similar effect to real HDR the Dynamic Range of a single RAW image is expanded by lifting the Shadows and Blacks and reducing the Highlights, and processing the result in Elements 12 to enhance detail in the photograph.

Open RAW image in Camera RAW and in the Basic Panel move the CLARITY slider to a high value and also drag the SHADOWS slider to a high value and drag the HIGHLIGHTS slider down to a low value. I use CLARITY/70%,  HIGHLIGHTS /-80%, SHADOWS/90%,
