Golden Apple Operations Ltd are a registered charity part of who’s remit is the restoration and exhibition for public education of historic combat machinery and to that end used to operate two aircraft out of the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. In October 2014 the F-86A Sabre, which is the world’s oldest flying jet fighter, returned to the USA leaving the Boeing PT-17 Stearman (Kaydet) trainer as the only aircraft being operated by Golden Apple Operations. At the moment. The PT-17 is looked after and maintained by the Aircraft Restoration Company.
